You may have heard that ZenMarket recently celebrated our 5th anniversary! It may sound like a long time, but this is only the beginning of our journey.
ZenMarket was started by our four founding CEOs in an apartment in 2014 and has now grown into a large family. Today, we would like to introduce our ZenMarket team to you, so you know who is behind the screen helping to buy all your favorite items from Japan.

- The average age of our staff members is 29 years old!
- We come from over x different countries, including Japan, Ukraine, Russia, France, USA, UK, Singapore, Argentina, Paraguay, Indonesia, Inner Mongolia, Philippines, Spain, Australia and more! Within Japan, we have staff from Osaka, Hyogo, Akita, and Fukui Prefectures.
- We are incredibly multi-lingual! Almost all our staff are bilingual, with many speaking more than two languages. These include our customer service languages such as English, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, French and Ukrainian, but also other languages like Malay, Italian, Cantonese, German, Korean and Indonesian!

- Discovering new Japanese products is a major part of our jobs! In fact, more than half of us have bought something that we saw a customer buy.
- More than half of us are cat people! When polled, over half of our staff said they prefer cats over dogs.
- We are almost evenly split when it comes to our caffeinated beverages. 54% of our staff prefer tea over coffee, but luckily for both factions, there is an unlimited supply in our office.
